okay having played a bit more Metroid Fusion I do think there's a lot to like here, I'm really liking the story as it stands, the whole thing of Samus being pissed at the computer commander and deliberately going against their orders is really good, and I very much wish their relationship was more adversarial from the start
my overall feelings at this point are complicated. I feel like I would wholeheartedly love this game if it was not a Metroid game, or, really, if it wasn't Metroid 4 specifically, but I'm not sure if that's the game's fault, necessarily. idk. I think this game is good, largely. I just wish it didn't set the tone for the series going forward
