okay I am thinking about crt tvs often, but can you blame me? they're electron cannons that have to be precisely manipulated tens of thousands of times a second to (in the case of color crts) very precisely hit tiny little dots of phosphor and it can't be off in it's timing by even a millionth of a second. and we did all of this without computers, just nothing more than analog circuitry. and this is still the best way to watch anything in standard definition or half standard definition
