one of my favorite things is you can literally send them cash in an envelope. that way the only personal data connected with the account itself is the uid which is also the number you use to "login" no usernames or passwords. also the app works on linux as well as any other platform which is a thing that no other vpn i've come across does.

In the past, I've rolled my own using a cloud VPS and something like Tailscale or some scripts to set up a wireguard VPN. Better to do a flat monthly rate VPS since a la carte bandwidth from the big providers is pretty pricey
I use windscribe, u can get it fur really cheap if u use the custom package (I pay 5$/mo currenfly). There's alfo a free version so u can try it out, tho not sure how it works (i.e. if it's a data or speed limit)
It's bean fine for me fur the year or so I've used it, I haven't noticed any problems other the one issue I hav where twitch keeps restarting the chat if I am on the auto-pilot server setting, and I got it after some good recommendations myshelf. I am no expert, tho.
i really like mullvad! their privacy policies seem pretty good
Unless it's for bypassing content restrictions, VPNs really don't bring much value in terms of security or privacy, they just shift things around.
