I think a lot of peoples gravitation towards forms of cuteness is because of its connection to empathy and allowing vulnerability without fear, which i think connects to being valued as a person- thus being able to be inherently empathized with, being OK to have vulnerabilities rather than having to prove yourself or be an output machine, etc. Angles like “My feelings matter, others feelings matter to me, we can care for each other and have various forms of psychological touch without fear, and we deserve it”
A part of my femininity is allowing myself to relish in that(although not usually in catperson terms heh). I think theres a big intersection between people wanting femininity and the connection between cuteness and empathy/“psychological positive touch”.
