Since cohost has no video support, I decided to look into how to make gifs still acceptable quality, but also small enough to fit in cohosts file-size limits.
I'm currently using handbrake to get a good quality but small filesize mp4 and then I had the best results with gifski in terms of generating a gif out of it. It has a good tradeof between quality and size. The handbrake generated mp4 isn't even half the size of the gif. That's pretty good!
There are most definitely ffmpeg wizards out there that could do this stuff manually, but I really liked both tools for just playing around with the settings and adjusting as I go.
Now I can talk about the important stuff. I can't be the only person that really likes korean-style chopsticks for snacks, right?
