Finally got the discord username change thing and predictably the name I was already using was taken. So were my second and third choices. This sucks man. Why couldn’t I keep my username
It conveniently told me I could add a period or underscore. Oh yeah, perfect. Now I can super easily get confused for some other person who has the version of my name without those. Love it
This is the thing discriminators really solve: Because everyone needs a discriminator, even if you're the authoritive only person with a username, even if you're Jerma#0985, there cannot be a Jerma, and thus it both evens the field and prevents easy mistaken identity
discriminators were the ONE good idea that dev team actually had.
