I have thought about post signatures before and if we were to do it (no guarantees) I would want each post to have three settings:
- show signature
- show signature (I am doing a bit which requires the signature to be on)
- hide signature
and your user settings to have three settings:
- show all signatures
- show only signatures that are being used to do a bit
- never show signatures
and sigs might be a plus feature but I would want the visibility settings to be available universally
