Nobody is quite as discbrained as me. I really just had like, an intrusive thought(?) about getting a PS1 with the modchip and buying a bunch of those black CD-Rs to burn games to and making a little Photoshop template for jewel case inserts where I frame the original art in a little consistent PS1 branded frame so as to give the disc boxes a unique homemade flavor while still being able to enjoy the original art and organize them on a shelf (with CONSISTENT spine labeling!)
and then I remembered I don't play video games.
most of the people who line things up on a shelf like this don't actually use any of the things that they line up. it's okay to like the aesthetic.
doing all of this except for the buying a PS1 part so I just have a bunch of really nice pirated PS1 games and nothing to play them on :p
And then there's me, falling asleep on a disheveled horde of CD-Rs barely labeled with sharpie like some kind of autistic dragon, knowing full well that even if I had the time to play them all I get far more dopamine from the hording than the playing.
i'm pushing 80TB of movies and shows and my drives are full enough i def have to pick up another ~20TB in the next three months. i have watched most of it. but really there's so much of it that i occasionally find a spare 1TB or something that was left in a staging area and has been there for years. a collections of niche interest stuff that i forgot i ever collected. the hoarding is the joyful part, to be sure. lol
