Asks just got added as a feature, so people can ask you about your characters, art, etc. It's been pretty good for me to reach out to folks and give them stuff to talk about. It's a setting you turn on in your page settings if that sounds interesting.
I can set it to available but I think unless I post a lot not a buncha folks will use it x3 I’ve had asks available on my tumblr since forever and never got one 🥺
For me its been a place to rediscover what "blogging" is all about. I find a lot of delight in how it's comparatively normal here to, if you have something you've been thinking about a lot, convert it into a sort of thinkpiece article and just post it. People would be afraid of looking pretentious or being scrolled past when they do that on other platforms, but here I find that people aren't afraid to read or write a longer thinkpiece
Yeahhh hence why I spent an hour or so writing down my thoughts on my most recent trip. It's just good to have a place that u can speak freely and enjoy yourself. I find the lack of "weight" from the community of the other socials freeing
Yeah!!!! Exactly, the lack of expectations at exists (at least currently) makes posting a lot more fun. And I liked that post a lot btw!!!!! I could really get a good sense for the internal dialogue going on there and it was a good read.
