I'm still hammering out the exact details of the world, but ideas have been coming to me better recently, so it goes something like this: Riolu wakes up in a forest clearing and almost immediately freaks out at talking pokemon and his own predicament of being transformed into a Riolu and losing his memory and runs off into the forest, barking and lumbering awkwardly due to his unfamiliar body. Quickly word spreads and morphs with an urban legend of some kind of pokemon wendigo-equivalent creature lurking in the woods.
I haven't gotten her exact motivations down, but Fae wants to prove herself as a capable adventurer and heads into the woods. On seeing that the creature lurking the woods is just a normal Riolu, she manages to calm him down and quickly becomes attached to him and she asks if he wants to join her as a team. Riolu, not in any position to choose otherwise, accepts her offer.
I have the ambitious idea of maybe making an amateur comic of them and other guys I have ideas of. Probably gonna try drawing them doing odd jobs until I feel more comfortable with my drawing.
