I feel like 70% of the time I see someone say "don't fact check my joke" it's just someone being annoyed that someone pointed out that a fundamental misunderstanding of the subject matter means the joke only works if you don't have a working knowledge of what the person's joke premise is and like... I dunno maybe come up with better jokes instead of complaining someone pointed out the joke is ill-conceived.
