how much time does it take to reverse internalized hatred of a competitor's product after you change jobs?
idk if this is relatable at all or if I'm weird. it took me a while to appreciate Steam again (but now I enjoy my Steam Deck a lot), still not over the last job though
heh, I read that as "your former employer's product" and it felt quite relatable to me
hahah I don't use any of my former employer's products anymore.. so maybe that too.
I think that there's a lot of pressure to adopt the us-vs-the-bad-them kind of narrative at a lot of companies (especially vc funded ones) and if you don't go into the work environment actively trying to resist it then everything around you will point you in that direction.
reversing that then is the same work as the work therapy is normally imo, so it can be any length of time depending on how it effected/affects you.
