I got SAPARi running on Steam Deck
it's not really that impressive because it's all very classic Win32 stuff, doesn't even use DirectX
also if anyone knows how to force Proton gaming mode to allow Wine to draw window decorations and menu bars, please let me know

i imagine you could use protontricks (from desktop mode) to winecfg its prefix and then see if it sticks in gaming mode
yeah that's what I did, works fine in desktop mode (that's also how I'm forcing it to emulate a desktop at half-resolution), but Gaming mode turns off the window manager and menu bars for some reason
this looks so charming and peaceful. i would love to explore it. is it prohibitively difficult for someone unversed to get running and explore?
