my favorite food is the sumo mandarin, also known as the dekopon, a variety of satsuma orange developed in japan in the 1970s and now commonly available in the usa through importation by the sumo citrus company

What do they taste like?
Serious question, I've been watching Sumo lately and seeing people buying them and naming them after their favorite wrestler (and then eating them I guess??? not gonna think too hard about that) and I thought they were just Big Mandarins.
imagine a mandarin that's enormous, very sweet and crisp and extremely juicy, but also you can peel it by hand in a few seconds because the skin separates from the fruit effortlessly and leaves no pith attached. the segments also separate easily without breaking the cell walls so basically you can peel and eat it and have dry hands when you're done. and it just generally tastes like The Most Orange, the canonical mental taste image of an orange.
