i forged my blade of a purpose cast aside
out of the remnants of that which was torn off of me
out of the viscera of when she tore me to threads
again and again
i forged my blade in the fires that i ate
the rage that keeps me going, the rage that kept me alive
i wouldn't be here without pulling myself back up
again and again
i forged my blade in memory of someone yet to die
someone else yet to carve their own undeath out of another "her" that tied them down
chained down in ribbons the same way countless others like us are
again and again
i forged my blade for my own protection
an instrument of passion to cut the chains that bind
a weapon to slice through creeping vines that would repeat it all over
again and again
