Getting involved with the local granblue versus community and playing regular lobby matches vs them has been so much fun. I’ve been loving playing vs the same dozenish people on a regular basis, and hanging out in discord and shitposting together is so nice for dispelling any of the frustrations that can naturally come up when going 0-20 in matches vs someone. It’s been real cool getting to know people’s individual playstyles and night after night learning how to solve the individual riddles they present through their play. It feels like a waaaaay better barometer for my progress in learning the game than ranked matchmaking is. Online ranked feels so hit or miss in its feedback, but seeing myself regularly starting to take matches off someone who felt untouchable a week or two ago is incredibly rewarding.
