Been stir frying 1-2 recipes per week out of kenji lopez alt's recent wok cookbook and it's been real fun. It's been years since I've done the hit up the same cookbook week after week thing but it's been pretty enjoyable! Plus I've been getting a lot better at stir frying which isn't something I'd done a ton of before. Pictured here are cumin beef, kimchi pork, and black pepper beef.
I did have a tragic casualty today though. Turned on the burner, gave my wok a drizzle of oil and went to give the recipe one last quick review before starting while it heated, only to come back to the smell of burning plastic and realized i'd turned on the burner my portable induction burner was sitting on instead of the induction burner itself.
Rest in peace, friend. I enjoyed our adventures together.
