I was the kid who played Ace Combat Zero and went “wait why am I fighting A World With No Boundaries, they have a point”

I mean, not the V2 thing, but the rest was dead on.

This twisted game DOES need to be reset tho.

I dunno, I also like Pixy’s whole spiel in the end too- how for all the noise and the ideals and the clash of powers, at the end of the day people are just… people. We’re all just trying to survive, to live, to love, to thrive- to trust. It’s fucked up that we put so many things in the way of that- nationalities, borders, governments, egos, politics, war. Cruel and powerful people try so hard to rob us of what’s at our core- a desire to love and be loved, to be united and care for one another.

Can you see any borders from here? What have borders given us?

I always found it kinda funny how Ace Combat has all of the real licensed killing machines, up to and including ones that are actively being developed, and how anti-war most of the ace combat games after 4 are, at least of the ones I played. I still don't know what to make of it, honestly.

I should replay AC 5 & 0, those games are so fucking good....

It’s actually simple- they’re mecha anime. The jets are there because they’re cool, they’re completely irrelevant to the message except as tools by which characters fight out their ideals. There’s no real-world statement in their inclusion beyond “this jet is cool”
