i do and i will go on record Right Now saying it is one of my favorite pieces of sonic media i've ever engaged with!
i think the characterization for the existing cast is spot on and even better than what we've had in certain games! especially when it comes to characters that aren't sonic himself, such as my beloveds knux or amy who were often sidelined or poorly written during the "dark era" as ppl call it. sonic himself is also rly well done too, but mostly i'm just glad to have amy and tails do stuff after the games and boom turned em into The Girl(tm) and The Smart One
i also rly like the world built by the comics (which, per sega, is also the games' world now!) since it's found a way to introduce new characters and situations without getting into major scope creep and over-convoluted plot bullshit a la archie
largely tho i think my favorite thing def has to be the new characters. i'd lay down my life for tangle n whisper + surge n kit lmfao
i read the latter duo's miniseries but i haven't dug into the former's, mayb i'll change that this week
the comics get a lot of flack from sonic fans online n i think most of the criticisms just sound like archie purists malding or people regurgitating youtuber opinions or people with like, zero media literacy skills. but that's an entirely separate thing i could ramble about lol
