i think they should be brought back honestly! i wanna learn more abt em and see em interact w/ the whole gang outside of extreme spoarts like they did in their brief stints in IDW. now's a good a time as ever considering y2k's back in vogue :P
the little i do know about them does make me curious though! things like the nods to the world of babylon in the second sonic movie (even tho that's a different continuation) n such . seeing them show up in a murder-of-sonic-type character interaction heavy game would rule lol
