if you could only use One piece of musical gear (disregarding amps and basic mixing ofc) for all of your music work for the rest of your life, what would you settle on?
in all honesty? probably just a hardware sampler or workstation
i own an MPC One and i love makin #tunes on that damn thing! i could probably do well on smth much older than it too, smth like the e-mu SP-1200 or the old roger linn models of the mpc. a lot of the music genres i work in relies heavily on sampling, be it trip hop, d&b, or house. synths would be the trickiest part but i could maybe make it work lol
