played through some of burning rangers (us) for a bit! first thoughts:

  • voice acting/nav system is really solid, actually. especially for the time! shou amabane definitely has shounen protag voice syndrome tho, like he kinda sounds like everyone ever's sonic impression sometimes LOL
  • some of these character names r so wonderfully anime i'm in love. there's mother fuckers in this game called Big Landman and Lead Phoenix (or Reed, transliteration error). big landman looks like a distant relative of cyborg off teen titans too he's so cool
  • the game itself? real fun!! my only real issue is that sometimes the graphics and collision can fuck out pretty bad and push you to places you didn't rly wanna go. idk if it's because i'm running it through the satiator card and not an actual disc or if i should just expect more jank from a ~25 year old sega saturn game LOL
  • this game deserves a Full rerelease - emulated or remade entirely a la NiGHTS PS2 - cuz this fucking ambition is crazy + so many more ppl should get to play this game, even if it's a pretty short one (i know they sorta-kinda teased one in 2012 but 11 years later and sega's not put out jack shit)
  • didn't think i'd wanna kick bernie stolar's ass any more than i do already but after running thru this game a bit? he better be ready when i get down there . i don't play about this saturn sht

so far? i'm in love!! i def get people who say this is a killer app for the sega saturn. this and NiGHTS are two must-haves (though in BR's case, get yourself a satiator or an action replay or smth. this game's pretty expensive lmfao. it needs all 6 buttons so if you have a saturn usb pad, spring for this on ur emulator setup esp as it's playable w/o the analog)
