my "lay down in bed until i feel less like garbage" activity tonight was go deep into my youtube likes and watch things from when i was 12. i found a bunch of stuff from when i was a practicing homestuck, namely those videos where people assign theme songs from external sources (i.e. non-comic exclusive, non-diegetic music) to the characters. came away from it sighing at the state of media literacy in 2012 and wondering how these Damn Kids just like, had zero rap in their playlists.
