got nostalgic n went 2 youtube to watch old vines n came out of it w/ the realization tht compilations made after the app shut down paint an entirely different picture of the Vibes bcs like 2/3rds of the guys in em would Not have been featured while the app was still active

#i was on vine from like 2013-closing and i can tell u right now the 'front page' was full of the same like 10 people and half the bits were either racism or street harassment #and like. conventionally attractive white boys #they weren't even funny tbh they were just kinda famous bcs teenage girls thought they were hot . i think like half of them ended up being like actually terrible people too #it took until vine was like 1 or 2 yrs away from dying for all the actually funny ppl on there to get any sort of big hype
