If you know who Herbie Hancock is: cool! I want some album recommendations.

If you don't: he's one of the most famous and influential musicians in jazz! He's played keyboards and synths on a lot of really cool albums. You might have heard Chameleon (and if you haven't, check it out).

He started getting interested in synthesisers in the '70s, and he made several albums using them. (Head Hunters, the album Chameleon is from, is one of them.)

Patrick Gleeson is the man who introduced him to the wide world of synths. He was a synth player who wanted to be involved in what Hancock was doing.

This article is about how Gleeson got into synthesisers, how he started working with Hancock, how he was received by the rest of the band (poorly), and what happened afterwards. It's interesting, well-written, and has links to some songs he played on.
