i always feel pissed off when i play samsho v special. i don't know if it's because i've only got one other guy i play against who's been playing way longer than me, but the stuff i'm always feeling is
- the flashing is giving me a migraine.
- maybe it's because i'm a ss7 baby, but this game is way too fast. i thought it was supposed to be the deliberate footsies fighter but there's stuff always happening and no respite.
- there's too many mechanics. blade gague and state of nothingness and three different defensive manuevers that samsho 7 would just pare back to spotdodge. Samsho 7 was billed to me as a simple, easy to pick up game that still has lots of depth, and now i've gotta lab state of nothingness combos and what moves i can get a follow up ground hit off.
- this game is janky as heck. too many situations where your moves are punishable on hit, Ukyo's apple slash just straight up doesn't work, and throws, one of the core moves in any fighter, are just needlessly convoluted in how you execute them and how you dodge them.
