hello to all the new cohost users
this is a monthly post i make where i list stuff that i found interesting and worthwhile for others to check out.
as always, these posts can also be found on my website and subscribed to via RSS!
- embrace of the serpent: what a hypnotic view into the colombian rainforest. the black and white is rich in contrast as the camera moves lazily through the labyrinth of the amazon.
- anatomy of a fall: paints an incredibly realized portrait of a disjointed marriage and its gender dynamics. the trial scenes are slick and showcase how truly insane the french court system is.
great sweaters, great dog acting, phenomenal child acting, a hot lawyer...i love movies! - if on a winter's night a traveler: the incredible start to this book, unfortunately, promised a bit too much—my attention really wavered throughout the last quarter. still a fun read! all the sudden beginnings and ends reminded me of ling ma's bliss montage; just a vignette of other stories and worlds, flashing by before a premature cutoff.
