The notion that every person ought to be a perfect island of self sufficiency is one of the most damaging lies of the capitalist system, I think.
Not only is it impossible and wholly contrary to human nature, it’s predictably isolating - which is entirely by design. Hard to organize if you’re barely cooperating to begin with.
