  • I used to be a software engineer, and you have almost certainly used software I worked on. However, I am burned the fuck out due to a combination of chronic illness and mental health issues. I still write code for my own personal purposes, however.
  • I used to make webcomics and I'd like to get back into it. My biggest series are Unity, a long-form hard-science fiction series about the intelligent animals who emerged in a leftover human galactic generation ship, and Lewi, a long-form science-fantasy comic about a young dragon who's trying to find a balance between science and spirituality (in a world where gods exist but are Extremely Misunderstood by their followers).
  • Right now I'm unemployed and just living off savings and investment income. Because of my chronic illness I'm trying to get on disability, although I'm not too optimistic about that happening. I've been fortunate enough to have had a few very good (and extremely lucky) real estate transactions. I would not recommend that as a primary approach to gaining financial independence.

Hi there! I'm a Seattle-adjacent furry weirdo who makes music, games, and bad decisions. Sometimes I make comics too.

Most of my stuff is on my own personal website and the best way to follow me is by pointing a feed reader there. You can also follow me on Mastodon if you prefer that mode of getting updates. I'll try to remember to crosspost my more interesting stuff here too, though!

I'm a big proponent of the Indieweb and I've written a bunch of software for it. I'd love to see Cohost become a part of it someday.

It's nice to meet you!

Yay, my cohost account has finally been activated.

I'm not sure if I'll be using it much though. I already have my own website and I just automatically crosspost stuff from that to twitter/tumblr/mastodon as it is.

Maybe if I can find a way to automatically crosspost to cohost too that'd be good for folks who like cohost better than a feed reader though?

I'd love it if cohost were to adopt indieweb principles. In particular, being able to subscribe to external feeds, and provide a feed for others to subscribe to, and supporting webmention for cross-site notifications, would make cohost potentially amazing.

I know cohost has RSS feed publication on their roadmap but they haven't said anything about external feed subscription, and that feels like a missed opportunity to me.

IMO, the single worst thing to ever happen to the modern Internet was Google discontinuing Google Reader, and the population as a whole collectively shrugging and saying, "Well, I guess RSS is dead, then."
