I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for with iframes. If you mean embedded previews of links, they just need to be on their own line without any markdown
If you're trying to just style a bunch of photos nicely, you can use https://nex3.github.io/cohost-image-grid/

so, itch gives you a widget you can customize and link using code like this:

but I tried copy pasting this on a new line in a cohost post and the only thing that appeared with the link and the text
Ooh, I see! Yeah I can't remember exactly, but I wouldn't be surprised if cohost doesn't allow iframes in posts for like security reasons or something like that
that'd make a lot of sense! I just don't see it called out anywhere
