it's not exactly an accessibility thing precisely. but "let me put my entire text in the headline of the post" is quite unfun for my eyes to read beyond a certain text length, especially in the hybrid way i usually use cohost (reading in my screenreader's app to get a cursory vibe of a chost with my eyes and flicking it to read aloud when i need it for a post longer than a few lines. ) i think having some stylization, big text, bolds, italics etc is great for knowing what to focus on in a big block of text, and headlines are really great!! they're rlly rlly helpful for providing context before doing the physical work of reading. and fine for short shitposts, too! you're not doing anything wrong posting as it is natural to do so with the tools available to you, but here's my shorthand rubric:
- silly and short? (could this have fit in an old tweet?) great, fine!
- important and long? sure, i trust you're doing it for a reason, whatever that reason is to you
- silly and long? maybe reconsider if you could do the set-up in the header and punchline in the text!
