The obvious theme from the title makes me happy, and I'm sure it's all going to be clever when I finally figure it out but this one has been so tough so far.
Looking forward to your future guess! I really appreciate feedback on difficulty — once you write a puzzle, the question of its mystery quickly becomes beyond you.

You're so close! You ended up not being swerved by a big misdirect, which might be genre knowledge stopping you from getting the category for #4. The clue you're missing from #1 is something I learned from austin walker. Both these things have in common the optional clue/title/theme!
Okay, we gave up and looked up the two things we were missing. We were just unfamiliar with both. (The thing from #1 is interesting to know!)
