So usually the way I access real-time transit info is via Google Maps, which helpfully collates it. Sometimes I use the NJ Transit app (which is fine) or the PATH app (which sucks). However, none of these solutions give me any way to see data for the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail.

Today I discovered the way to get real-time data for HBLR: text a unique code for your station to a specific number, and it will reply with a text containing real-time data. Hello??? Why do I have to divine the secret true name of my tram stop to get train times?

Still beats driving though. To any other Hudson County residents: the NJ transit website can tell you the secret code you need to text and what number to text it to
