i hate the constant implication that the only reason people would look at the notes of a post is to find a fight
like i use those on tmblr to find like. more information than the OP provided. or responses to OP that further discussion. or to find people to block

does not. I had to go back and find the original post. Easy in this case, not so easy if I'd stuck it off in a tab to spend a day working on the post.
What a pain in the ass if I make a long addition and want people seeing the original post to be able to find it!
