I've been using a hex editor but found corruption difficult since it just takes so so many iterations of fumbling around to get anything interesting. Major breakthrough recently though, I thought I could only open the corrupted images with windows preview (I tenderly offer csp a fractured file and it spits in my face) but lo and behold mspaint has some magic fingers. I've gotten good stuff copying and pasting a corrupted image into mspaint from windows preview. Opening the actual file with paint does not have the same effect. Would be curious as to what the clipboard does to an image to cause this if anyone knows?
