Howdy!
I'm currently working on a few different videos, but I figured I would take this opportunity to share one of my old videos that I'm most proud of - the video in which I discuss 920 London!
I feel like this was the video where I really found my voice in terms of doing media analysis online. I hope you enjoy it!

I hope you enjoy it!

lol uh,

  • context: so this hit my chimeline and i was like oh hell yeah this is gonna fucking slap but then you were like "this will spoil the whole thing" and i was like oh uh good point, guess i have to enact a series of events in order to acquire this book, which turned out to be a really delightful set of events that i won't enumerate since that's a little parasocial but mainly what i'm saying here is thank u for getting me to not only get a copy but also inadvertently helping me make friends haha 😖😖
  • response: wowwww ur mind!! ur attention to detail! 920LONDON handles such fucking hard topics soooo well (apocalyptic/suicidal ideation, inescapable depression, abuse at the hands of someone u idolize and cant escape, codependency) and you absolutely rise to the challenge of continuing the conversation! also woah woah woah haha you made these scans? really gorgeous stuff! can't wait to see what you're cooking up next, even tho of course obviously no pressure no rush, video essays are so much work 😩😵
  • hyperlink: uh i wonder if you've read never angeline north's Sea-Witch? It is obviously a different beast but it touches on similar apocalypse themes. I'm guessing you haven't seen The People's Joker but i saw it this week and the whole Mr. J (transmasc jared leto joker) character reminded me of Kiki's shit w/ Price. I am restraining myself from mentioning Vriska's relationship w/ doomsday machines.

thank u for making this!

I wish I could see the People’s Joker. If I knew a way to see it online I would but it seems like it’s only something you can peep at if you get to see it at a theatre.
Sea-witch does seem intriguing. I’m going to keep it in mind to try and check it out sometime.

Glad you enjoyed this so much though!
Right now I’m turning a chost I made about disability in Star Trek deep space 9 into a video, and then I have a few other ideas in the works after that.
