Minnehaha falls is on the Blue light rail line! Hop off, cross Hiawatha, turn left and go till you hear the crash of water and the flutter of delicate eggbugged wings. If you're driving, here's an interactive parking map. It's also nice to bike to if that's your flavor!
What if it rains? 🌧️❓
If it's weak or brief, the nearby bandshell can keep us dry. If it's really gnarly, we'll fall back to Mall of America, which is also on the Blue Line! We'd hypothetically meet on the side near the rollercoasters of the "Huntington Bank Rotunda" (the one you enter coming from the light rail).
What if my soft animal body gets hungry? 🐈🍓
I don't know much about food nearby but I'll try to bring some snacks and drinks and it'd be cool if you did to! I also hear there may be sub sandwiches and ice cream and fish n chips nearby?!

I feel really good abt the choice to have this part way thru the read-only period, even if it means we won't be able to post all our cute pics or w/e... Seeing & hearing abt the Boston meetup was really cute and inspiring! I definitely don't have any big expectations, I don't expect that many ppl to come out (but hey i'm soooo excited to meet y'all that are!), but shel's post abt everyone just being weird silly awkward people has really rooted me today and will be sticking with me for a while. I've been thinking a lot about parasociality the last few weeks (and a long while before) and its just nice to... not do it! I'm glad to have met a number of people here who feel like they've become my friends. And like, even though that number is two (2), that's still meaningful and I'm still grateful! If one person reads my post/sees my picture/insert thing here and is touched by it, that's enough for me. That one person could even just be me and that's still good enough! As massive as our world is it's also actually really small, and that's not just okay but really beautiful and a realization that has transformed me.. I don't want to make myself small by making other people big in my head! I don't know, i'm a mess right now and i have been for a while but i'm glad i had this space. i never got good at posting, and i guess now i never will :,^)
