I originally saw this print as a very similar retouched, half-scale reproduction (probably by the same company) at the local ReStore a couple of years ago. At the time, I didn't end up buying it, but 'Veronica' (as I would later learn) got stuck in my craw, so I went back a couple of days later on my lunch break to see if it was still there.

It wasn't.

At the time I had no idea what this print was, who it was by, or how to find another copy, so I pretty much gave up looking immediately. My lovely partner, who was with me on the original trip to the ReStore, has a frankly astonishing sleuthing skill for this sort of thing, though, and managed to find out it was a 1908 painting called 'Veronica', by Stuart Travis. With this information, I went on fleabay, and found the half-scale reproduction pictured above.

I later learned this print was originally the backing to a 1913 yard-long calendar, as part of Pabst Blue Ribbon's yearly company 'calendar girls' series... and I wanted an original instead. Given these calendars are now 110 years old and counting, and their relative rarity, this was a tall order.

But, the print in the OP is the real deal; that is an original acid paper print of the 1913 PBR calendar, custom framed by somebody thirty or so years ago, and is a wonderful birthday present.
