doesn't look like anyone's shared this to cohost yet so I thought I would. great news imo!
this is so funny, or sorta tragicomic I guess, cause if you read their history page they talk about being one of the first 100 wikis on "Wikicities". they're true early adopters. that's 20 years of history on the same site! and what's driving them away? "increasing worries about corporate control of the Wiki's contents and design, as well as the threatened implementation of unwanted A.I. tools in the user flow". I'm sure there's a straw that broke the camel's back element to this, but it really is incredible that in such a short time Fandom's aggro ads and large language model bullshit took 20 years of history and burned it to the ground.
that's brand management worthy of David Zazlov!
