Yesterday I tried eating mashed potatoes instead of roasted potatoes, to make sure style of preparation didn't affect digestion, AND aforementioned in my ramble post, if you can't hide the earthiness of russet potatoes in some way, I don't overly enjoy the flavor. Not having tested butter or nut milk in isolation yet, I just tried mixing up the potatoes with olive oil and salt and it did not taste great to me. Also yesterday was a weird digestion day anyway for schedule reasons so I couldn't call a verdict about mashed potatoes.

I saw a naturopath for the first time this week and she said even with my extra salt intake I should really try downing the salt at all times. Searching around, most recommendations say to add sauces to increase sodium but so far ketchup and soy sauce make me nauseated so I was racking my brain about what to add to a) taste better and b) add salt and I realized: chicken broth!

So this morning I made mashed potatoes again and poured in a half cup of chicken broth and it's too early to call a verdict as far as nausea but that was maybe the tastiest thing I've eaten in a month, ho-ly shit. I'm still thinking about it, an hour later. God I hope this works. My only worry about the chicken broth is it has a lot of natural gelatin obviously, and gelatin as an additive in things fucks me up bad, and the ingredient list does say it has some spices like onion powder. So. We'll see. Hoping for the best, braced for a let down.

Also second day of villicoate, I tried it with the potatoes instead of in water, a little worried that I do so much supplement/pill front loading in the morning (villicoate, prednisone, liquid IV hydration mix) but hopefully it sets me up for minimal afternoon digestion nausea, which is the worst, but idk. We'll see. God those potatoes...
