I'm halfway through getting off prednisone and I think it has really calmed me down, lol (wrt not posting everyday/through it). Sleep still not great but hopefully getting better. Also I've been nausea free for like...a week?? Incredible progress! I eat rice, mashed potatoes, and chicken everyday, only, but you know...better than nausea tbh. I got garlic powder, onion powder, and lemon juice back so you know, definitely trending upwards! Tonight I'm gonna try pepper but I don't have high hopes. I can live without pepper tbh. We'll see though.

The villicote supplement from the naturopath hasn't caused any problems so idk, hard to ever tell if it's working. I did re-try eggs the other day and I guess that was one day with some nausea so "a week nausea free" isn't 100% accurate but it is in spirit. All to say, I'm not like, better, just finding things that work.

And today I got the first onboarding call to start the new/last Crohn's med available to me, Rinvoq (a daily pill), so we'll see how long it takes that to get going. I believe there's Skyrizi in me til mid-April and I'm not done with prednisone til the end of April but I'm not sure that matters to my GI doc or the drug company. Rinvoq says it took a year for 50% ish of their study participants to notice a decrease of symptoms so I'll be curious on the next call with someone with some knowledge (either my GI or the drug rep) if that's the plan, evaluate at a year, or if it can be evaluated at 3 months like my past biologics.

Oh, I mean, I guess this is implied but that was also the last update - I got my ileoscopy last Friday and the verdict was "lotta inflammation, Skyrizi officially isn't working" which was just a nice confirmation post-hospital I guess. So yeah, life seems livable again. With the corticosteroid decrease, I'm taking a nap every day so maybe after I'm off it entirely I'll get serious about looking into iron infusions but I am also very lucky and privileged to live a pace that I can also take a nap every day, so idk. Much to consider! My last concern is weight loss, still down 10 lbs after being discharged and that is Bad but I'm not sure what else to do. Hopefully it at least stabilizes 🤞
