Thank you! Maybe this is cohost’s way of telling me to stop mindlessly scrolling the main feed and use the platform as intended by actually writing something substantial up and having discussions about it lol

I do as I was finding it useful to meet new people, since most of my tags are not especially active. I also probably over-followed a bit early on, as I was worried things would be too sparse otherwise. It’s definitely my own fault to a large extent; I made a cohost because I hadn’t enjoyed other social media but then I unconsciously started trying to make it function like Twitter or something haha

That makes sense! I look at it every now and then to see what's going on, but I usually end up running back out pretty quick. I try to pay attention to who people I follow reblog from and look in comments to see if there's anyone interesting there.

And I don't think you need to blame yourself, it totally makes sense you subconsciously were trying to make it like Twitter; it's what you're used to! I think everything takes adjustments and I hope eventually you figure out what you want to see on your timeline and how often. Personally, I like things a little slower so I can get to know people more easily/deeply before expanding more but that's just me.
