i cannot overstate how much of a glow-up Tsugaru got in the Undead Girl Murder Farce anime adaptation over the manga.
the manga art is like, just any ol shonen guy. the anime has this slouchy disheveled goofus man in the absolute best way.

yeah the manga designs are all kinda like this, just sort of generic normal characters. UMF was originally a novel series so i'm hopeful that the anime designs were actually closer to what the author envisioned, i think they suit the characters a lot more.
I’ve actually been considering picking up the LN for a while, I don’t usually go for them but I need more tsugaru content and I don’t think we’re getting a season two…
yeah i badly want a season 2 but who knows if that'll ever happen, i feel like a lot of people slept on s1.
the manga is fine other than the character art not being as good, and all the Phantom/Lupin stuff feels way way gayer.
I was loving phantom/lupin so maybe I’ll have a look at it if they kept the characters and designs similar!
