I would like to formally apologize for suggesting consumers ignore the FDA and catch the listeria hysteria. When I posted this, I was unaware of the long history of misogyny associated with that word. While some of the response has been somewhat less than civil, I would like to thank everyone for this opportunity to learn and grow as a community. Going forward, I will be more careful with my word choice and will be seeking the advice from marginalized voices whenever I can. I hope this apology will be found to be honest and sincere and that we can get back to spreading the love.

Yours ๐Ÿ’œ,

There's a chance I didn't completely understand the tenor of the criticism of my use of the phrase catch the listeria h*steria and it seems some people still object to the more neutral spread the love in reference to our current listeria troubles.

I hear you. I understand you. I have always believed it is up to the consumer to do their own research vis-a-vis listeria, and decide what level of risk they are willing to take in their own lives. I merely ask that people approach the topic with an open mind and make sure they read up on both sides of the argument.

Today is my final day as head of marketing at Carnalvoreยฎ. Both I and upper-level management would like to stress that I am voluntarily stepping down and that I am leaving the company in good standing. It's been a whirlwind 3 years and I'm glad I was a part of the team that brought the first Salami-based edible panty to market as well as the first 100% genuine codpiece. I've made a lot of lifelong friends, but I'm ready to move on.

Please reach out to me here on LinkedIn if you think your workplace could use my particular expertise.

Yours ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ,
bcj
