A collection of very short shorts about the professional and romantic life of a Tokyo woman in her mid-20s who survives through temp work and odd jobs. It’s very erotic in what I can only describe as a mature and comfy way, and Ekoda-chan is one of my favorite female anime characters. Each episode is by a different director and lead VA, whom you will likely recognize from more than a few series. They were given virtually complete freedom outside of the basic premise and some of them got extremely creative with it— you will be surprised by how unusual and audacious some of these episodes are.
The best part, and what really makes the show one-of-a-kind, is that every short is followed by a 20-minute interview with the director and their Ekoda-chan VA. It’s such a pleasure to hear about their creative process and interpretation of Ekoda-chan’s character and you can tell they really enjoyed the opportunity to work on a title where they could express themselves so freely. It’s a very special show made by and for people who love anime, and it’s on Crunchyroll if you have it! You know it’s good because more than 60% of people on there gave it one star.
