store-bought is fine

It’s 4 days per week tutoring at a local high school for pathetic wages but honestly that’s fine with me, with my industry being a smoking crater for the foreseeable future I’m just happy to have found something that isn’t something truly demeaning and soul-deadening like fast food or retail before my bank account ran out of money. This way I get to keep my Roth IRA pristine too which I was dangerously close to having to crack open just to like, feed my dog and do car maintenance.

Between this and occasional freelance subtitle work I should be able be cobble together a full workweek I think. I bet I’ll like the job too, I remember in high school I really liked my study hall tutors. A lot of them were also weird overqualified 30 year olds and they were so fun to just hang out with while you did your work

I'm so happy you found something. I know that even if the compensation and hours aren't good that you'll make a positive difference in young people's lives working there. :)

Thank you!! Yeah I don’t need to make great money right now since I’m living with my folks at the moment, I really just need enough to cover my expenses until the entertainment industry starts to thaw so any regular income will do. As you said I think I’m really going to enjoy doing it since it’s actually fulfilling and varied work and I’ll feel like I’m helping other people
