I deranked from Expert 1 to Adept 3 which is unfortunate, but holy cow being back in Silver Room for the first time in a month or so feels like playing with fourth graders. Every game has at least one person who literally doesn’t defend themself and seems to be playing some sort of mahjong solitaire, people significantly behind who have already had their dealer round will expose their entire hand for a tanyao… the good news is climbing is extremely easy because you literally just passively climb by playing normally while the other players step on rakes, but getting first place basically comes down to sheer luck and hoping one of the two bots at the table deals into you. I guess it’s a relief that Silver Room feels like a clownshow now because it means my skills did improve significantly during my time in Gold Room, and I’ll be likelier to be able to stay there next time I get in.

Random other note, using damaten in Silver Room is really fun because NOBODY does it so you can totally jumpscare people
