...okay so now i'm just gonna put in a load of text that won't show up on-screen but should pad out the off-site embeds (like discord) enough that the solution won't actually get spoiled in the embed hopefully maybe. wouldn't it be great if cohost hid the spoiler tags from the embed text? i think that'd be neat. okay hopefully that's enough padding now fingers crossed. anyway if the embed is still going then *gasp* spoilers, the solution is THIRD FLOOROkay, you just purchased a plot of land but before you can become a landlord, you actually have to build a building huh. You want to build as many habitable spaces as you can so you can rent/sell more apartments and make more money on your investment. Easy task, just build as many floors as the ground can withstand.
Well, it turns out that the law says you can't make apartment buildings with more than 5 floors, so you're fucked.
But you're smart, you know the letter of the law. You can have 5 floors, not 5 vertical levels in which to include habitable spaces.
First we have the ground floor, floor 0. Techically not a floor.
Then we have the entresuelo. As its name implies, the entresuelo is a floor that's sorta between two floors. In its origins, the entresuelo is usually reserved for either balconies that are atop the ground floor but don't really cover the whole floor, or floors that are not quite "one whole floor" above ground; like maybe the building has different entrances, one of them is higher than the other and from there you can either climb down some stairs to reach the ground floor, or climb up to reach the entresuelo. - Whatever the case, regulations on what it is and what it is not are extremely vague so anything above the ground floor can be one. There you have it, floor E. Technically not a floor.
Now's the turn for the actual floors 1~5. No tricks here. Though we're already at 7 real floors.
But there's more! You can have an attic, and you can have it not count towards the floor count!
But wait, there's even more! If you build yet another floor; as long as it doesn't cover the whole area of the building, you can classify as a sobreático, which doesn't count as a floor either, and doesn't invalidate the attic's status as an attic!
Congratulations! You just built a 5-floor apartment with 9 floors!
