Final Fantasy VIII will forever be my favorite in the entire Final Fantasy series. It was my first when I played it as a child, and has been a long time inspiration for me as everything from the game has stuck with me.
What comes to mind mainly is...
- The personality of the characters and their designs.
- The architecture and aesthetics of the towns, cities, gardens, etc.
- The CGI cutscenes with their use of motion capture and advanced lighting.
- One of the best soundtracks on PlayStation.
- The song 'Eyes on Me' also has stuck with me as well, especially in more recent years since being engaged to my wifey.
I will have to do a write up on it sometime later on. Maybe after my current play through.
Right now I am 11 hours into my current playthrough and haven't yet taken the train to Galbadia. (Thanks Triple Triad and Card mod!)
