wow ok so pro tip i guess, i was getting annoyed that if i draw a circle quickly it wouldn't be smooth (like it would have these slight angular bits)... it made me only want to draw low-effort scribbles because i didn't know how to fix it. but i got fed up enough that i started changing some settings to try to fix it and it turns out all i had to do was set input frequency to prefer quality.

i draw my lines pretty quickly so i figured "prefer speed" would, yknow, let me draw at my regular speed while not slowing the program down or something. but no. "prefer quality" lets me draw fast like normal, smooth and lagless. why is it called prefer speed..... so misleading........... anyway im glad it's not something wrong with my new tablet!! im getting used to this thing!!!!

classic programmer labeling. "speed" here means that the computer """is faster""", because it's doing less work, because it's polling the tablet less often. but if your computer is good enough then it might not actually make any visible difference
